The first-ever inaugural Barcelona Golf Invitational presented by BOAT International and Voly Group took place on 15-16 May 2024 at one of Spain's most prestigious golf resorts, the world-famous stadium Camiral Resort Barcelona which has hosted The Spanish Open on three occasions.

We were delighted to welcome attendees for the two-day programme which included yacht owners, captains, management companies, shipyards and maritime industry experts. Giving guests the chance to socialise with key players in the yachting industry through a friendly yet competitive golf tournament. With non-players joining other social activities along the way.

The event began with the arrival of our prestigious guests for a welcome cocktail reception to meet and dine with fellow players at the beautiful Clubhouse with welcome speeches, dinner and drinks into the night.

Day two started with a short briefing on what to expect before heading to the driving range for a pre-event golf warm-up. European Tour short game coach Tom Whitehouse guided players at the warm-up clinic in the Barcelona morning sunshine, sharing tips and pointers before everyone took to the course for the tournament. While non-players took part in a buggy race around the course. Golfers played 18 holes in teams of four, competing for this year’s Golf Cup, for The Longest Drive, Nearest the Pin and other golf challenges, adding to an energetic and competitive atmosphere throughout the day.

Afterwards golfers and guests were invited to come together for a celebratory barbecue where the champions of the day…and the winning team Pendennis took to the stage to accept the Golf Cup. South Wake Capital scooped second place, and in third place, The Marina Port Vell team along with Captain Dean Pilatti. Big congratulations to all the other players who took part.

The ceremony closing party continued, guests enjoyed dinner and live music late into the night, ending two days of activities.
