Simon is a serial entrepreneur turned investing Chairman in the marine and payments sectors. He led Inchcape Shipping Services through an MBO and subsequent sale, founded and sold Optimi Global (payment solutions to marine and media sectors) and has subsequently Chaired numerous PE backed manufacturing and services businesses such as Griffin Global, TGE Marine and Cathelco.
Simon currently serves as a NED to Vanguard Logistics and as Chairman of two Magenta Investments – The North American Guitar Company and Voly Global.
He is a past president of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers and a Council Member of Mission to Seafarers and remains an active angel investor.

Tom co-founded Magenta in 2008 and has been directly involved with its investments in Tag, Pure Gym, Halo Insurance, JoJo Maman Bebe, Trustpay Global and Fastpayhotels. In 2012, he co-founded Viva Gym and led the group’s Spanish business from start up to 17 sites by 2016, during which time a majority stake was sold to Bridges Fund Management.
Tom has nearly 20 years of SME investment experience across a number of industries including leisure, media, consumer, finance and business services. Prior to Magenta, Tom worked at Deutsche Bank eVentures, Bridges Fund Management and MidOcean Partners.
Tom has an MA in Philosophy Politics and Economics from Oxford University and an MBA from INSEAD where he was a Louis Franck scholar.

Chase co-founded Magenta Partners in 2008 and has been directly involved in with its investments in iPrism, JoJo Maman Bebe, 333 Solar, Halo Insurance and Eaton Gate Vigilis. In 2012, he co-founded Viva Gym and led the growth of Viva Gym’s South African business from start-up to a 7-site operation with over 100 employees in 4 cities.
Prior to Magenta, Chase was a Director with MidOcean Partners, a pan-European mid-market private equity firm, and worked at Deutsche Bank in both corporate finance advisory and venture capital roles. Chase has experience on investments ranging from pure equity venture capital through to mid-market (£150m EV) buyouts and large cap (£2bn) advisory mandates, with a focus on Western Europe.
Chase has an MA in Spanish and Business Studies from the University of Edinburgh and an MBA from INSEAD where he was an IFS Henry Grunfeld scholar.

To establish its specialist platform for the music industry, Voly has appointed Neil Rodford, the Founder and former CEO of leading management company YMU, to its board. With a remit to oversee Voly Yachting and Voly Music’s strategy.
Neil became CEO at YMU in 2001 from his previous position of Managing Director at Fulham Football Club, leading a management buy-out of the company in 2009. During his tenure he completed over 40 acquisition & sales processes, and under his stewardship YMU went on to become the leading UK company in its sector increasing its enterprise value by over 500% before selling in 2018 for c£130m.
